Create your own community
Set a purpose, choose privacy and understand community ownership limits.

Check your allowance
The standard allowance is one owned community for a free member and up to three for an approved, active live Upmanch Verified subscriber. Complimentary verification has its own allowance. The platform can change these limits, so the creation screen is the guide to what your account can create now. Joining someone else's community does not use an ownership slot.
Build the foundation
- Open Communities → Create community and read the introduction.
- Choose a clear name, description and the available category or identity details.
- Select public or private visibility. Public spaces allow eligible members to join; private spaces require an invitation.
- Review the details and create the community. Add a profile photo, cover and rules using its management controls.
Your role as Creator
The account that creates a community remains its Creator. Protect that account and choose Volunteers carefully. Set posting, comment and approval rules before inviting members. Lowered allowances or an expired membership do not automatically delete existing communities, but can prevent creating another. A subscription does not remove moderation or safety requirements.
